Veritas Saw Set
Precision tooth setting for consistent, accurate handsaw performance.
The Veritas Saw Set brings together the best features of traditional saw sets in a durable, easy-to-use design. Essential for maintaining handsaws, a saw set ensures teeth are properly aligned after sharpening so the saw cuts a consistent kerf.
Designed to handle a wide range of saws, this tool can set everything from coarse full-size rip and panel saws to fine joinery saws up to 28 TPI, making it a versatile addition to any workshop.
The two-stage spring-loaded mechanism first clamps the blade securely as the lever is squeezed. Once the clamp reaches its limit, the ram advances to bend the tooth against the adjustable anvil, providing controlled and repeatable tooth setting.
Set adjustment is simple. Loosen the locking knob, turn the adjuster to reposition the anvil, then tighten the knob. A built-in cursor allows you to record settings for future use with the same saw. The widened viewport improves visibility, while the ergonomically sized lever and grip help reduce hand fatigue during use.
The body is cast from ZA-12 zinc-aluminium alloy, offering strength comparable to cast iron while being lighter and less brittle. The ram and anvil are hardened steel, and the adjustment knobs are solid brass, ensuring durability and long service life.
